Y'all magazine gets me to illustrate a feature every year
entitled "You're So Southern if...." This particular line was
about being Southern if you preserve and put up some of
your own food. I thought about the episode of
The Andy Griffith Show that dealt with Aunt Bee's
horrible pickles.
